The Batch Lady Cowboy Pie

What you need

Ingredients

  • 4 pork sausages
  • 2x 400g tins baked beans
  • 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
  • 2 packs Mash Direct Cheesy Mash
  • ½ cup (30g) pre grated cheddar (optional, depending how cheesy you want it)

Recipe method

Preheat the oven to 180oc. Place the sausages on a baking tray and cook in the oven for around 15-20 minutes until the sausages are cooked through and nice and golden.

Remove from the oven and cut the sausages into chunks.

Into a mixing bowl add the tins of baked beans, bbq sauce, the optional grated cheese and the cooked sausages and give it a stir.

Pour into an ovenproof dish and crumble over the cheesy mash.

Once the baked bean mix is completely covered with the mash, sprinkle over the pre grated cheese.

If cooking now, place in the oven at 180oc for around 40 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.

If freezing, cover well and place in the freezer.
