Gammon, Cabbage and Mash

A classic comfort meal!

What you need

Ingredients

  • Mash Direct Mashed Potato
  • Mash Direct Green Cabbage
  • Small gammon joint
  • 50g flour
  • 150ml milk
  • 50g butter
  • Chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Recipe method

1. Remove the gammon from the fridge around 45 mins before you want to start the recipe. Combine the mustard and honey in a small bowl and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Brush this all over the gammon, and wrap the gammon in foil.

2. Heat the air-fryer to 160C. Put the gammon in the air-fryer and cook for 1 hr, brushing with more glaze every 20 mins if you can. The gammon should be cooked through (use a digital thermometer to check – it should read 70C). Remove and leave to rest for 10-15 mins before carving.

3. Make the parsley sauce by making a simple white sauce, season with salt and pepper and add the freshly chopped parsley.

4. Microwave the cabbage and mashed potato as per pack instructio

5. Assemble it whichever way you would like and pour over the sauce! Enjoy!!
