Our Farm

We farm the fields that are surrounded by Strangford Lough. The warm air that comes in from the Lough helps our crops to develop all year round and creates the perfect growing conditions for our vegetables.

At Mash Direct we only use heritage varieties of vegetables in our products, grown for their distinctive flavour and not for their appearance. What our veggies lack in looks they make up for with a traditional, natural sweetness that newer types of crops have unfortunately lost to meet the high visual standards set by supermarkets.

Over the years we have expanded from 70 acres to 1,400 acres of farmland around Strangford Lough; which is fantastic because it means that more people are eating vegetables!
