We are seeking a dedicated and experienced :


WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Required to oversee our Warehouse and Order Fulfilment Operation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient, accurate and effective processes are in place. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, transport, supply chain logistics, as well as the ability to lead a team and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Previous experience of Warehouse and Supply chain Management in the FMCG sector would be a distinct benefit.


Summary of Key Duties

– Management of Mash Directs logistics administration including, driver breaks Taco meters, Taco graphs, compliance to legislation and online portal (logistics UK)

– Management of Mash Direct transport fleet including servicing, routine maintenance, PSV, MOT, break testing.

– Planning of logistics and overseeing implementation of plan

– Collaborate with third party transport providers to optimise supply chain operations and ensure retail and non-retail customer service standards are achieved.

– Build relationships with customers hubs and supply chain depots to ensure best service for mash direct

– Daily updates with Mash Direct commercial/ team/ front of house sales and finance teams regarding order fulfilment and risk to service

– Management of Mash Direct Van Sales team

– Management of warehouse personnel to ensure accurate stock movement and stock control

– Experienced with Warehouse Management Systems and Yard Management Systems

– Roster management of warehouse team in line with company policies

– Management of Health and Safety across Warehousing and logistics operations

– Lead, train, mentor, and develop sleeving and despatch staff to ensure high performance and adherence to HR practices and policies including effective absence and wage cost management.

– Prepare reports on Key Performance Metrics including Average Weight of Products for senior management review.


Person Specification

– At least five years’ experience of warehouse and logistics management, ideally but not limited to the food industry

– Commercially astute, excellent planner and experience of financial reporting

– Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain management and transport management

– Experience in managing teams and team performance within a warehouse setting

– Excellent communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail

– Accurate, strong attention to detail and analytical skills

– Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement initiatives

– IT and systems proficient
