Mash Direct is recruiting Electrical Engineers to maintain, test, and repair plant automation equipment.
Working as part of the maintenance team, you will follow maintenance plans, take part in installation projects, perform electrical fault finding, and handle emergency breakdown repairs to ensure the continuous operation of the plant.
– Diagnose and repair faults on plant control systems, investigating the nature of failures and carrying out repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible.
– Perform instrumentation, control, and automation maintenance on a variety of production site equipment, including planned and reactive maintenance.
– Install, modify, and commission new plant equipment to high standards.
– Work with various instrumentation, including flowmeters, pressure levels, ultrasonics, thermocouples, proximity sensors, and modern machines.
– Ensure a safe, clean, and tidy working environment as part of the maintenance team.
– Provide specialist technical advice where appropriate.
– Comply with current workshop and site risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
– Produce ‘Point of Work Risk Assessments’ to ensure all potential hazards involved with specific tasks are identified and mitigated.
– Ensure that all compliance documentation regarding the company Quality Management System is completed where required.
– Electrical City & Guilds, BTEC, or NVQ Qualification.
– Proven experience with:
– Operational plant and control systems.
– Interpreting electrical drawings, fault finding from schematic drawings, and working with inverter drives.
– Relay logic and PLCs.
– Calibration and maintenance of front-line instrumentation.
– Meeting health & safety requirements.
– A flexible, methodical, and lateral-thinking approach to problem-solving.
– A willingness to learn and the ability to work as part of a team.
– Good communication skills and time management.
– Physically fit to perform the role, including operating electrical equipment, lifting, climbing, standing, and working at height or in confined spaces.
– HND or HNC qualification in the appropriate electrical discipline.
– Skilled in lean tools and techniques and fostering a continuous improvement culture.
– Counterbalance forklift license.

– Pay: £17.50 – £22.00 per hour
– Expected Hours: 45 – 50 per week
