Mash Direct is seeking a highly organised Payroll & Accounts Administrator to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and procedures, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various departments including Human Resources and Accounts Payable.
Applicants should have previous experience in payroll administration, reporting, and accounting software.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday)
Applicants should have 2 to 5 years’ experience working in a payroll function (c250 employees) and be able to demonstrate practical experience of the following:
– Administer and process end-to-end weekly and monthly payroll for c250 employees using Sage software, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
– Calculate and process statutory deductions including PAYE, National Insurance, and pension contributions.
– Maintain accurate employee records, updating changes promptly (starters, leavers, employment status, role changes).
– Manage and reconcile time and attendance records, reporting payroll data daily to Senior Leadership.
– Upload payments to the bank account each week once payroll is finalised.
– Ensure adherence to UK payroll legislation, tax laws, and regulations.
– Prepare and submit statutory reports (RTI, EPS, FPS, ONS) and generate payroll reports for management KPI information.
– Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
– Complete payroll year-end transactions and assist in audits.
– Work closely with HR and managers to ensure seamless payroll processes and accuracy.
– Identify and implement process improvements and review payroll controls.
– Process HMRC forms including P60s, P45s, P11Ds, and Annual Returns.
– Assist with general accounts and office administration as required.
