Yard Person

Mash Direct, based on a working farm close to Comber, is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of our yard and public outside areas. This role involves a variety of tasks, including maintaining outside areas and walkways, keeping them clear, clean, and organised. The successful applicant will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety.

Duties:

– Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the yard area, ensuring it is free from hazards.

– Maintain lawns and green areas, including planting and weeding flowerbeds and hedge strimming.

– Keep walkways and car parks free of litter.

– Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

Requirements:

– Previous experience in a warehouse or yard environment is preferred.

– Proficiency in operating forklifts; certification is an advantage.

– Knowledge and experience in operating garden equipment, including strimmers and mowers.

– Ability to perform manual handling and lifting duties.

– Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.

– A proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork is essential for success in this role.
