Mash Direct is thrilled to announce that our Beer Battered Onion Rings have once again been recognised, this time as Gold winners at the prestigious Blas na hÉireann Awards 2023!
Since their debut in 2018, our Beer Battered Onion Rings have quickly become a fan favourite, and it's easy to see why! Each ring features a perfectly sliced onion coated in a deliciously crispy, gluten-free beer batter. We've made it even easier to enjoy them: we've added air fryer instructions, allowing our customers to cook up these mouth-watering treats in just 12 minutes!
For those unfamiliar, the Blas na hÉireann Awards stand out as the most extensive blind tasting event of produce in Ireland. What sets them apart is the rigorous judging system, crafted hand-in-hand with the Food Science Department of UCC. This system is now recognised as an international benchmark for food and produce evaluations.
The Blas na hÉireann Awards ceremony was on 29th September in Dingle. Congratulations to all the finalists and to those who won Gold!
