Jack met with HRH the Prince of Wales this week to celebrate the announcement of our new listing in Fortnum & Mason. As part of the Taste of Northern Ireland event, Prince Charles had the opportunity to sample the finest food and drink that Northern Ireland has to offer including Abernethy Butter, Dunville Whiskey and of course, some Mash Direct Champ.
After speaking with HRH, Jack said "he really knows his potatoes. Prince Charles has a huge passion for food and farming as well as the provenance of the produce on supermarket shelves. Fortnum and Mason, along with Invest NI and Food NI, have put on an amazing occasion and it is a great way to show off what the Northern Ireland Year of Food and Drink is all about".
Prince Charles was also joined by First Minister Arlene Foster and actor James Nesbitt (who are of course already big fans of our Mash).
The Mash Direct products listed include our Carrot & Parsnip Mash, Braised Red Cabbage and Beetroot, Champ, and Colcannon. These new listing follow the recent launch of five dishes into Tesco England in March and new listings in Iceland, Waitrose and the CoOp.
